Studio CHIYAThis Pilates class is suitable for you if you are in the so-called follicular phase of your menstrual cycle before ovulation. It is a workout after menstruation. You usually have a higher energy level as the estrogen level rises, which we want to take advantage of in the class. It's a mixture of P.I.I.T. (Pilates Intense Interval Training) and Power Pilates. We train with weights up to 3kg and with resistance bands. The aim is to strengthen the core: Pilates focuses heavily on strengthening the core, which can be particularly beneficial in the follicular phase as you may have more stability and strength. It is important to emphasize that everyone's body is different and what works for one person in the follicular phase may not work for another. If you're unsure, come along and try all of our Cycle Stages. In this class men are welcomed as well.
